Arrangements from Top Dots
You'll be
delighted to hear that the quality and extremely high accuracy of the Hands On
MIDI Software range of midi song files has now made the transition into
print.
All TopDots
arrangements are produced in-house by a team of specialist arrangers and every
arrangement is carefully thought out to retain both the feel of the original
and be scored in such a way that makes it playable by virtually any combination
of musicians.
Top Dots comes in three packages,
Standard, Big Band and Educational, each
compatible with the other.
Each
'Standard' arrangement contains parts for 4 rhythm section
players (Keyboards, Guitar, Bass and Drums), 4 front line (Trumpet, Alto Sax,
Tenor Sax and Trombone), 1 solo front line (Bb and/or Eb) and Vocals where
appropriate. All rhythm section parts contain an extra stave with the lead
vocal part - handy if your vocalist is part of the rhythm section and single
player parts (for Bb and Eb) contains the important lines of the arrangement
for those bands with just one front line player. For those bands with a larger
horn section, the parts for 4 front line are included, specifically voiced for
that particular combination. In some circumstances Sax players may need to
double Flute and/or Clarinet.
Have a Big Band? The TopDots' 'Big Band' additionals
pack caters for our Big Band customers (4 Rhythm, 4 Trumpets, 4 Trombones , 5
Saxes and Vocals). This package contains the full score (in both concert and
transposed pitch) plus new front line parts (replacing the small band versions)
giving an authentic sound and accurate voicing to every song.
Educational Pack.
Our 'all inclusive' Educational Pack includes our Basic pack plus Big
Band additionals, plus new score and extra parts to make it playable by a wide
variety of players. The vocal part is transposed in such a way that it is
playable by concert (C), Bb, Eb and bass clef instruments.
Additional parts include:- Flute, Oboe, Eb Clarinet,
Clarinet(s) 1,2 & 3, Bass Clarinet, Bassoon, French Horns 1,2,3 & 4,
Euphonium, Tuba, Violins 1 & 2, Viola, Cello/Bass plus extra percussion if
required. With our Educational Package no student is excluded from playing
alongside their friends.

Every TopDots arrangement is printed on high quality 120gsm paper.
Unlike some of our competitors,
TopDots does not try and cram notes onto the page just to save on paper. Every
TopDots arrangement is printed in a larger font making it crystal clear in a
variety of, less than optimal, lighting conditions and those with less than
perfect eyesight (that'll be me - Editor).
Every song in the Hands On MIDI software library is
available in print
(subject to
copyright approval).
WOW! That's right, any and every song in our
library is available as a printed arrangement!
As TopDots is a new dimension to our product range and
each arrangement will have to be created on demand. Most of the work has
already been done but we do ask for a little patience in the time it takes for
your order to be delivered.
Please note that at this
time we are unable to deliver TopDots electronically. Arrangements are only
available as physical print.
